Yakitori Tenjin

Yakitori Tenjin offers Kyushu-style yakitori and Hakata-style Motsunabe in the restaurant district of Yamagata City,
lined with long-established izakaya bars.

The founder of the restaurant, trained in Hakata and opened the restaurant more than ten years ago.

Traveling back every year, incorporating the new flavors encountered there into the restaurant's cuisine.

The secrets of the great taste are carefully selected ingredients and binchotan charcoal

The freshest chicken is carefully selected for yakitori, and all skewered by hand.
Another particularity is the charcoal fire that makes the yakitori just so much better.

The skewers which are slowly grilled over a distance using binchotan charcoal have an exceptional balance of aroma and a tender texture, reputed to bring out the true flavors of the chicken.

Hakata-style Motsunabe hot pot!

The soup is based on chicken stock that has been meticulously cooked for several hours to bring out its flavor, using soy sauce shipped directly from Kyushu.

Kyushu miso and Saikyo miso are carefully blended for the miso flavor.

The motsu is made from carefully selected domestic beef offal, preserving its authentic flavor.

The deep vegetable umami and the sweet and rich flavor from the motsu oil make an excellent Nabe hot pot.
